My responsibilities included: Being in charge of the end of year equity share reconciliation, which involved constant communication with bankers in foreign countries; this required my written and verbal communication to be clear and concise. Assisting the Head of Operations Banking with a risk management project that sought to allow the bank to effectively examine its exposure.

This was a 2 week voluntary work experience in France during my school holidays. I was placed in the main Société Générale branch in Versailles. The role initially involved getting to understand how a bank worked behind the scenes. After a few days I assisted the advertising director; travelling with him and assessing where and how Société Générale would advertise itself.
