Environment: Websphere, Oracle AS, JAVA, J2EE, Oracle 10g, XML, XSL, XSLT, IBM AS400, DB2, HP Superdome The client Dental insurance company has over 40 Million customers with revenue over US$5 Billion. Enterprise Streamlining project has the goal to bring together various disintegrated system and create a single integrated system to enhance the customer service and business operations. The core product was purchased from EDS. I created various layered on EDS product called Metavance. The customer benefits administration software package customized and creation of extension was my core responsibility. Client server and Web based systems were created as extension to the core Metavance package. Redesigned and rearchitectured legacy CGI and RPG based applications on Java and J2EE. Brought in new tool and techniques to the enterprise to enable development on OOP based Java/J2EE technology. Worked with teams assembled from offices across USA both employees and contractors to get the job done. Project: Vendor Integration System Environment: Weblogic, J2EE, Oracle 9i, JMS, XML, XSL, XSLT Created an integration system using Weblogic integration which can integrate various vendor’s systems and applications. |

| Description: | Worked as a Software Development Consultant for Abraxas Technologies. Abraxas clients are in various industries; I had a chance to work in Insurance, Entertainment, Healthcare and Bio-Informatics. The details of various projects on which I played key roles are given below.
Project: PayTrax Environment and Tools: Java2 (JDK 1.4), XML, Web Sphere, Servlets, JSP, Eclipse, JBuilder, SWING, SQL Server PayTrax is an entertainment industry specific payroll system. The system holds the union employee contract information and generates gross pay from time cards. Gross pay is converted to net pay after tax calculations. The application supports direct deposit and payment distribution. Designed and Implemented the UI of the application and integrated the UI with back end SQL Server Database. Created the persistence framework. Created Form layout framework to quickly develop the UI screens. Implemented functions and stored procedure to handle the interactions between SQL Server and application. Integrated the PayTrax with Web Portal for end users and corporate directors. Implemented interface of application with Accounting application. Project: Dataloader Environment and Tools: Java2, J2EE, JDK 1.2, Visual Age for JAVA 4.0, SWING, UML and Persistence Framework. Dataloader is a generic tool to load health management related data into Oracle, which is used by the health management systems. I Worked on the conversion module of the data loader project. The conversion module allowed users to setup the conversion on different fields in the intermediate tables. Also create UI to create a look up conversion table. Oracle 9i was used to hold the huge amount of data of the whole system. I worked on Windows NT as development platform. The application client side was developed in Java. I participated in the development of the Middle Tier for controlling the transactions between Client and Server. Developed the System based on custom Framework of GUI and Persistence. Developed the UI’s using the GUI Framework; Database interaction is done using Persistence Framework. Worked with the QA team to increase the reliability and fault tolerance of the application. Improved the Object Model of the application by using advanced concepts of UML. Tuned database to increase performance. |

Utilized all the latest tools and built Gene Sequences and Patents searching and blasting application to facilitate the drug discovery process. Oracle was used to hold over 20 GB of Gene Sequences and Patent data. I developed and maintained three-tier web-based application. Designed and implemented the core object model Developed and maintained the persistence mechanism Developed/Maintained Oracle schema and stored procedures Enhanced the performance of the application using SQL tuning Actively participated in QA testing of the application. Project: Compound Searching and Reaction Enumeration. Client: Syrrx, California Duration: 04/2002-09/2002 Environment and Tools: Java2, J2EE, Forte for Java, Borland JBuilder, SWING, Weblogic, Struts, JFC, ANT, JUnit, Oracle and UML. Syrrx, Inc. is a drug discovery company committed to redefining the way medicine is discovered. Utilized all the latest Java and J2EE tools and built compound searching and reaction enumeration software to facilitate the research on protein crystallization. Oracle was used to hold over 3GB of compound catalogs. I developed and maintained the three-tier based on EJB model. The front end I developed was based on JSP, Servlets and struts. JBuilder was used for RAD and Weblogic was used as web application server. Designed and implemented the core object model Developed and maintained the persistence mechanism Designed and implemented the modules for managing compounds, reactions and simulations.
