Introduction (Problem definition) -our project idea is making a control box of an electric vehicle where this control box provide many advantages like low cost, high efficiency & small size. -the motor used in the vehicle was separately excited motor. -our current issue is making the printed board of both control and power circuits after we have already finished the required layout for both two circuits and all the required protection and controlled. Objectives (Problem Solution) -to control the dc motor we choose the dc chopper to control the speed of motor by control the armature voltage of motor. -the technique chosen to make the dc chopper is the pwm technique. -we chose the micro-controller to produce the pwm required .which is better than analog circuits in many way like (size-cost-efficiency). -The customer's /market's quantitative needs can be clearly specified as follows: -low cost of control box. -High efficiency in controlling the vehicle. -Robust design. -Small size and weight. -Providing means of protection and sensing. -Easy controlling for beginners and professional drivers. -Can be easily repaired. -The outcome, supported features and functionality that would present in MIE finals on 1st of August: 1-An electric vehicle provided from our sponsor and that vehicle would be controlled by our new control box. 2-The two main power and control circuits would be presented in the form of printed board with very high quality of both manufacturing and finishing. 3-All sensors and limiters and means of welfare would be provided with highly efficient operation. -our sponsor had an old control box with many disadvantages so our project or our control box would be satisfy their requirements due to its advantages eliminates the disadvantages of their old box. -our project replace an existing product has drawbacks like: -very high cost -large size and heavy weight. -it can not be repaired as its components and circuits imports totally from foreign companies. -our control box is not a new product but it is able to compete in the Egyptian market. |
