Mike Templeton

Mike is an Iowa State University graduate with a degree in marketing. His interest in the online space began at age 11 when he built a website for his elementary school using Notepad and hand-coded HTML.

Mike Templeton has nearly a decade of community management experience. While he got his start moderating automotive enthusiast forums, Mike later moved into other aspects of online communities when he began blogging and managing content for social web properties. His startup experience includes co-founding a user-edited encyclopedia for hashtags used on Twitter, which was eventually acquired by a similar, but larger service.

Today Mike is employed full-time as an analyst at a social media strategy and consulting firm. He is also a Community Manager for SportsLeeg, a sports team management tool for coaches, players, and fans.
