FULL BIO
At 1000memories.com, I started as Marketing Intern, and moved to Marketing Manager. For two months, I expanded the organization's marketing and business development efforts, while maintaining relationships with customers, blogging, doing PR, and learned a lot more about 'coding,' the web and applications in general.
In my previous job, as a teacher, I created and delivered presentations of ideas and information as a school teacher. But really, I set out each day to captivate and energize, yet still manage, twenty-six thirteen year-olds at a time. Mostly, preparing lessons and units taught me how to elucidate and transmit information in a compelling, memorable way. Of late, in pursuing my own ambitions in business, I have sensed a significant increase in confidence and poise, which I can attribute to having faced the tumultuousness of the classroom.
Two years of teaching led me to, most of all, the skill of building relationships. I worked hard to maintain strong connections to my students, which allowed me to communicate confidently and reach them. Developing this skill was not easy, but I am confident that I can now find common ground with anyone.
