In the ensuing four and a half short years, Mark, partnered with his wife Jessica, successfully fought off the economic recession of 2002-2004 and with a stable team has been able to build Andiamo! Group into one of the premier recruiting firms in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles County. With a staff of 33, Andiamo! Group has enjoyed a steady 40% year-over-year increase in revenues and foresees much of the same moving into 2007 and onward.

Mark joined Alan J. Blair Personnel, a 5 person, 37 year old boutique recruiting firm located in Downtown San Francisco in March of 1997. Under the owner’s mentorship, Mark learned the intricate details of the agency staffing arena that would propel him to be the top producer and then agency manager for this multi-million dollar firm. Responsible for hiring, training and terminating staff, Mark also maintained a “full desk” which included business development and hands-on recruiting, allowing him to both hone and sharpen his recruiting skills for what was to come.

In 1996, Mark was recruited away from PepsiCo to join Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon in a training venture that was targeted at having Mark lead Lone Star’s efforts of opening restaurants in the California market. After a two year stint in the Denver, Colorado market which involved training in site sourcing, building, staffing, training and operating various $5M+ locations in and around Denver, Lone Star made a strategic decision to not enter into the overly competitive California restaurant market. After a brief transition period, Mark resigned from Lone Star to return to California to pursue a career in agency side recruiting.

Mark’s career started off with PepsiCo, Inc. in 1992 when he was recruited to join PepsiCo’s Taco Bell division as a TMU Manager in Taco Bell’s New Concepts Division.

From 1992-1996, Mark helped pioneer the then new concept of “Urban In-Line” locations in the Downtown San Francisco market along with a variety of other new concepts centered on Taco Bell’s visionary “express” locations concept. Along with numerous college, airport and stand alone “express” locations, Mark also helped design, build, staff and launch three other traditional Taco Bell 3-in-1 concept locations totaling $5M+ in revenues.
