FULL BIO

Marie-Anne is setting up Dreamfish shop in Paris to enable the expansion of Dreamfish in Europe, Africa and South Asia. As VP of Operations for Dreamfish, Marie-Anne is facilitating day-to-day management of the cooperative as a resilient empowering and efficient organization. Her responsbilities include managing the improvements of business systems that enable grassroots co-production of value by and for Dreamfish members. Supporting member workgroups on membership services and business projects, she will facilitate the implementation of systems that deliver social, environmental and financial value for membership. Marie-Anne is also responsible for managing the Dreamfish Fellows program, an innovative graduate level service learning program in community leadership.

Given her French father, Filipina mother, upraising in Japan, multilingual education and extensive travels, Marie-Anne is deeply experienced in multicultural distributed systems and global social entrepeneurship. Her projects include partnering with French NGO Sport Sans Frontières to build sports facilities for children in Afghanistan and teaching Math & English to abused and orphaned children in the Philippines.

In her previous position as Director of Operations of WDHB, the global organization development firm delivering immersion tranings in innovation and sustainability, Marie-Anne oversaw delivery of services to clients such as L'Oreal, Michelin, Nissan & Nokia. She developed and managed Project Leader training and mentorship to general management of Expedition design & delivery. She was responsible for redesigning WDHB’s organizational structure in response to evolving market demands and client needs.

With a double BA in International Management from Lancaster University U.K. & Reims Management School in France, she began her career in marketing for Véolia Transports in London and Renault in Dublin, then moved into project management at Mitsubishi Corporation in Paris.

Marie-Anne has a bold talent for applying design thinking to global problems. This stems from her work in the design laboratory at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. There, she developed strong interest in human-centered design. This led to her design thinking to develop systems for sustainable development in developing markets.
