Aged 25 Lucian is the energetic face behind BraveNewTalent.com. An award winning young entrepreneur with a huge drive and passion for what he does. He has been placed in the UK's top 5 up and coming entrepreneurs by Natwest and RBS and is part of the Courvoisier Future 500. Lucian has a 'born global' attitude with a matching business strategy. He is working hard to make BraveNewTalent.com a global brand. Lucian was the UK's first undergraduate entrepreneur to receive EU financial backing and Edinburgh University support. He is the world's youngest entrepreneur to join the UKTI (UK Trade and Investment's) hugely successful Global Entrepreneur Program with BraveNewTalent.com being described by the UK Government as a "Technology company of Exceptional Potential".
Lucian is heading up the global social media outreach for One Young World - An initiative to give young people a place to engage and have their voices heard about their future, Lucian is overseeing the selection of 1500 young leaders from 192 countries. BraveNewTalent.com is tapping into the major social networks and new media channels across the planet to try to mobilize the next generation behind the initiative.
Aside from BraveNewTalent.com Lucian has been recognised by StridingOut's Future 100 as one of the UK's 100 entrepreneurs leading social and environmental commitments. He has a long association to India and is a youth advisor for Next Generation India on the Board of the UK India Business Council. BraveNewTalent.com now has an office in Mumbai. As a student he ran one of the UK's only entirely student run charities - Take Heart India. Through his fundraising efforts Take Heart has built an IT and English language school in rural India training hundreds of blind and handicapped students in IT skills.
Lucian Is passionate about young enterprise and is a Make Your Mark Connector. He has been an enterprise mentor and judge for The Prime Ministers Global Fellowship and participated in IBM's Forum on Global Leadership receiving an from an invitation from IBM's Global CEO to be one of the founding members of their forthcoming Global Entrepreneur Exchange. Lucian is excited by the potential of the next generation and plays an active role in youth leadership. He has co-pioneered a Next Generation Leadership Forum in Finland attracting participants such as Microsoft and Nokia. Lucian has spoken to audiences across Europe and Asia about the phenomenal change that young people are having on the way we work, live and communicate.

| Description: | One Young World, was launched in Davos and already has the support of Mr. Annan, Desmond Tutu and Bob Geldof among others as councillors. The initiative is aiming to use the internet as a way to mobilize young people together.
Just to summarise - We are gathering together 1500 leaders of tomorrow born between 1984-1987 from 192 countries around the world. There will be a leadership summit in London on February 8th-10th 2010 where these young leaders voices will be heard. Draft resolutions are being created by Oxford University and these should act as a response to Copenhagen. My aim for One Young World is that it could become a unified voice of the next generation for every sector, almost like a ‘Youth Kyoto’ or a ‘Young Davos’. My company, BraveNewTalent.com, is managing the global social media outreach for One Young World. We are tapping into all the major social networks and new media channels across the planet to try to mobilize this generation behind the initiative. The event is a world first in that we are taking 2 delegates from every country in the world and the remaining delegates in line with the spread of the world’s population. This means it will be the first time ever that countries such as India and China have their population fully represented at any global event. China will have 259 delegates, India 223 and US 61 (and so on)... |
