Description: I’m currently involved in the process of student recruiting, selection, enrollment and follow up for the Entrepreneurship Major. I’ve developed innovation based programs and seminars in order to attract more students and successfully created collaboration agreements with important businesses in the community for our students to test their knowledge in periodical “challenge” sessions. I also performed the same functions for the Business Administration major from March 2009 until August 2010.

Description: I designed the “Business Idea Presentation” module for the business incubation process at ITESM CSN. This workshop is based on the “Rocket pitch” technique and aimed to let entrepreneurs present their business plan in just 3 minutes, to engage investors, possible business partners and clients. Also I teach entrepreneurs the “Elevator pitch” technique to sell their ideas in just 30 seconds.

Description: I’ve taught the following courses: Science, Technology and Society, Innovation and Technology development, Innovation and Business Generation, and Entrepreneurship, which was assigned to me with objective of revising the curriculum in and proposing changes to the course, which were successfully implemented. Currently I’m working with McGuire’s Entrepreneurship Department at the Eller’s College School of Business with the University of Arizona on weekly sessions aimed to increase the collaboration between our universities and improve the effectiveness of our program.

Description: In 2005 I promoted the creation of the first astronomy camp exclusive for Mexican students within the Teen Astronomy Camp program led by the University of Arizona for 20+ years. I’ve been co-director of the Tec Astronomy Camp ever since, overseeing the application and student selection process as well as putting together the academic curriculum and recreational activities, in order for the students to learn how math, physics and astronomy are part of their everyday lives. In addition, since 2004 I’ve collaborated as counselor for the rest of the Teen Astronomy Camp programs teaching Stellar Evolution to both international and American students and guiding research on the 12”, 40” and 61” telescopes and instruments located at Mt. Lemmon Observatory and Kitt Peak National Observatory.

Description: I single handedly launched ITESM’s Business Incubator in 2006, evaluating over 120 business ideas in my almost 3 years as Director of the project. When I left in March 2009 I was managing 20+ incubation projects. I was responsible for recruitment of new entrepreneurial ventures, coordination of training and consulting sessions for all projects, responsible for funding and resource allocation for all projects. Furthermore, I was in charge of our outreach programs with other institutions in the city and the state. Additionally I transferred our incubation model to the ITESCA University, in Cajeme, Sonora.

Description: During this time my main duty was to pursue the improvement and usage of technology in the classroom in order to facilitate the teaching process. I was the leader of the IT support team, coordinating preventive and corrective service to the technological equipment. I was also in charge of software purchasing, licensing and distribution for all the students, faculty, and academic departments. I also did software training and helped develop a competence based certification process for faculty members.
