I was responsible for incoming technical support calls from X-box live account holders for on line gaming, password help, general account information and connectivity issues. This job required quick typing skills for accurate notes, great customer interaction and keen attention to details. I was required to submit tickets for problematic calls and possible solutions to supervisors while the account holder was on hold. I was delegated to issue a list of acceptable responses and terms to the account holder. I was also responsible for knowing the Knowledge Base used for all questions and answers.

My duties for this partnership with my wife included web development starting with Microsoft Front Page and moving into using Macromedia's (now Adobe) Dreamweaver for hand built HTML and CSS. I developed a client side shopping cart that stored no information on a server side data base, using PayPal as the payment gateway. After learning all about web development from scratch, I then moved into blogs and CMS style systems. Most of the web development was geared towards increasing traffic and maintaining e-commerce sales utilizing and testing many applications. Trial and error allowed me to find what was best for my work methods, flexible enough for other users, and profitable enough to use for business. Other job skills utilized are inventory control using a database, Quickbooks and Wholesalers database, profit and loss analysis using Excel, discount and shipping cost assessment using Microsoft Access. We also produced the shirts advertised on the site and designed custom images for our clients, utilizing Adobe Photoshop 6, 7 and CS suite producing up to 70 custom images a week. |
