Description: Developed key relationships with Latin American institutions during frequent outreach trips to the region.
Partnered with rural development projects across Mexico and identified five projects for inclusion in pilot program.
Projects included entrepreneurship incubators in Mexican prisons, promotion of pulque industry, establishing agricultural and eco-tourism projects, and crafts industry using agricultural waste.
Created, secured funding for, and led Harvard’s first summer program on Sustainable Development in Mexico, with project sites in Chiapas, Michoacán, Morelos and Puebla.
Directed the overhaul of a database on Latin America at Harvard, building and leading a team to develop a proprietary technology to accommodate over 15,000 data entries in integrated data pools.
