Description: Formed in 1989 Eden started life as a design company for small hand-held electronics. The company had success with a number of designs and a worldwide ‘first’ producing a Wireless PDA product, marketed in the UK as the Amstrad PDA600, the product beat the Apple Newton to market by a number of weeks as the first wireless PDA product.
In 1996, the company made a major change in its direction to focus entirely on the development of a world-leading portable RISC-based OS for small battery powered hand-held devices. EdenOS v2.0 was based on the μITRON specification.
