Papers: - The National Association of Government Archivists and Records Administrators invited me to make a presentation at their annual meeting in Kansas City in July 2007 entitled, “If the Buck Stops Here, Then Where the Heck Is It? Introducing K-12 Educators to Federal Archival Repositories”
- I published an article in Perspectives in February 2007 published by the American Historical Association. The article, “Integrating Teacher Feedback and Teaching American History Grants,” is available in print and online.
- I organized the 2nd Annual Teaching American History Grant Symposium held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Organization of American Historians in Minneapolis in March 2007. Over 140 teachers attended the event that discussed the long-range impact these grants have on the larger historical profession.
- I published an article in the OAH newsletter in August 2007 – “Teachers and Students as Historical Thinkers: Second Annual TAH Symposium” – that is available both in print and online.
- I published an article in the OAH newsletter in February 2007 – “ Second Annual TAH Symposium” – that is available both in print and online.
- I chaired a session of TAH grant teachers presenting their work on primary sources in the classroom at the Western History Association’s annual meeting in Oklahoma City.
- I was invited to make a presentation at the US Department of Education’s annual Project Directors’ meeting in New Orleans in October 2007. Offered 3 times during the course of the conference, the session was entitled, “Illustrating Our Nation’s History: Teachers Integrating Free Resources from the National Archives from Seattle to Kansas City to Boston.”
- I presented, “Taking Stock of Current Online Tools and Moving Forward into Web 2.0,” at the Social Science History Association Annual Meeting, Chicago, IL, November 2007
- “Teaching History at the Crossroads: Mining the National Archives for Primary Sources,” Western History Association Annual Meeting, Oklahoma City, OK, October 2007
- Director and Panel Chair, “Teaching American History (TAH) Grants and Public History: Expanding the Common Ground,” National Council for Public History Annual Meeting, Santa Fe, NM, April 2007
