Evaluated by the Gulf Region Southern District Commander as “clearly one of the top Captains” within his command. Provided Contractual Oversight for the Umm Qasar Pier and Sea Wall. This was the first foreign military sales project conducted within the Country of Iraq. USACE Liaison to the Provincial Reconstruction Team (State Department) - Worked through the Governance Department to develop a training program for the local municipalities ensuring their ability to take over strategic waste water and water treatment plants. Worked with local officials to identify needs and structure contracts to support their intent with the development of viable projects. Shaibha Location Command – Project Engineer in charge of the 42 Million Dollar Iraqi Army Compound constructed to support logistical operations for the Southern Iraqi Army. Facilities include: Bakery, Fire Station, 1.5 million liter POL Distribution Center, Medical Clinic, etc. This project was evaluated as achieving the highest quality of all 14 location commands by the Multi-National Forces Iraq Contract oversight team. Responsible for the tracking and delivery of USACE assets for recovery missions within the U.S. and abroad. Chosen to lead the Mission Analysis for USACE’s Headquarters response to the Haiti recovery operations. |
