WORK EXPERIENCE

Employer: MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
Position: Graduate Research Fellow
Time period: August 2011 - Present

Employer: Intel Corporation
Position: Graduate Technical Intern
Time period: June 2011 - August 2011

Employer: Stanford Department of Electrical Engineering
Position: Research Assistant
Time period: April 2009 - August 2011
Description: I work with a research group that is developing a new type of solar energy converter. Incorporating nanomaterials is a promising technique for maximizing solar conversion efficiency and thus viability for utility-scale renewable energy production. I'm working on a simulation of electron dynamics in semiconductor nanowires to model photoemission yield and to help us better understand electron transport on the nanoscale.

Employer: Stanford Department of Psychology
Position: Research Assistant
Time period: April 2008 - March 2009
Description: I helped out with studies on bias and implicit theories in the Dweck Lab.

Employer: Air Force Research Laboratories - Sensors Directorate
Position: Engineering Aide
Time period: June 2006 - August 2008
Description: • Presented biweekly progress briefings to division officials and engineers
- Consistently received positive feedback on presentation skills and preparation
• Researched odor sensors for robot navigation without GPS in physically constrained environments
- Wrote pro/con analysis report to recommend optimal sensor type for navigation objectives
• Collected GPS data to synchronize video and radio frequency data from small UAVs
• Conducted tests of vision‐aided inertial sensor array
- Used MATLAB to parse, plot, and analyze vision‐aided inertial navigation data
- Proposed possible behaviors to correct inertial sensor drift
• Helped secure funding from AF Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) for INSeCT lab task
