Employer: American Yacht Harbor, US Virgin Islands
Position: Project Experience
Description: Site civil engineering services for this multi-level retail facility with parking, utilities and site layout services.

Employer: Atlantis Resort Phase I & II, Paradise Island, Bahamas
Position: Project Experience
Description: The resort encompasses a 1,100-room hotel built over a 7-acre lagoon, a casino, a 34-acre waterscape, a 6-story waterslide and 2 pool areas.

Employer: Bakers Bay, Guana Cay, Bahamas

Description: A 250-acre resort with golf course and marina. Provided civil engineer site design and coordination with owners.

Description: Civil engineering design services for a resort located on Bonds Cay, part of the Berry Island chain in the Bahamas The project includes 675-acres of undeveloped land. The proposed development will be a unique cultural community with various amenities.

Description: Developed by Ritz Carlton Club, includes 21 fractional ownership estates, a central facilities building and an amenities building. Provided CZM modification and other governmental assistance, roadway and lot geometry, grading, drainage, erosion control and utilities.

Employer: Caribbean and Jazz and Blues Club, Antigua, West Indies
Position: Project Experience
Description: The Caribbean Jazz and Blues Club is part of a mixed-use development center on the Stanford Cricket Ground at the V.C. Bird International Airport. The Jazz and Blues Club will treat visitors to a "1920's supper club” and an outdoor plaza that will allow for special functions and performances. Provided civil engineering design and construction phase services for this 4.46-acre site.

Employer: Disney's All Star Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
Position: Project Experience
Description: A 200-acre hotel development consisting of nearly 6000 rooms in 30 lodge buildings and 3 commercial buildings. Responsibilities included management of civil engineering site design and coordination with owners, other project design disciplines, and regulatory agencies.

Employer: Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
Position: Project Experience
Description: Civil engineering design of a 300-room, 74-acre resort near Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Design included 0.5 mile, four-lane, access roadway, in addition to grading, drainage, utilities, and paving. The civil engineering services included permitting of utilities and drainage, as well as coordination with the many other disciplines involved in the design.

Employer: Disney’s Castaway Cay, Bahamas

Description: Provided the civil engineering due diligence prior to purchase and full civil engineering for the landside improvements. We assisted the landscape architects in the planning of the facilities and provided final design of the civil engineering portions of the project. Also designed the water storage facility, wastewater treatment plant, irrigation storage, and the power plant.

Employer: Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
Position: Project Experience
Description: Civil engineering design of a 2,000-key, 146-acre resort complex including a convention center and service facilities. Responsibilities included management of design including a 19 acre lake, two vehicular bridges, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, water mains, parking and drives. The work also included site permitting and coordination with other disciplines.

Employer: Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
Position: Project Experience
Description: A 5,760-room resort campus comprised of 23 main buildings around a 30 acre reconstructed lake with a total site area of 242 acres. Provided all civil engineering, including site design, utility design and permitting, drainage facilities design and permitting and construction observation. The design and record architects were Architectonica and HKS, respectively.

Employer: Disney's Swan and Dolphin Hotels, Walt Disney World, Florida

Description: This 85-acre hotel site located within the Walt Disney World Resorts. The site supports two hotels, two convention centers, four major parking facilities, two swimming pools, and a shared pool/rock waterscape feature.

Employer: Disney’s Vacation Club at the Wilderness Lodge, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Description: Provided civil engineering for this 300-unit expansion to the Wilderness Lodge. The Vacation Club will share amenities with the resort.

Employer: Divi Hotel, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands
Position: Project Experience
Description: Provided assistance during the redevelopment of this hotel following its destruction from Hurricanes Hugo and Marilyn. Also provided CZM permitting and civil engineering services.

Employer: Four Seasons (old Regent Hotel) Great Exuma, Bahamas

Description: Provided civil engineering for two of the developers of the project. We were not the consultants for the currently constructed project.

Employer: Frenchman’s Cove, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
Position: Project Experience
Description: An 186-unit timeshare project on 13 acres of steeply sloping waterfront property. HCE is the civil engineer and the primary consultant for the Major Land CZM permit required for the project. The engineering documents include site geometry, paving, grading, water, wastewater, storm drainage, and specifications. The site provides many challenges, the largest being the steep slopes that average nearly 2H:1V. A significant related challenge is the protection of the environment by control of stormwater runoff and erosion both during and after construction. The utilities systems will include cisterns to relieve demands on the public water supply and a wastewater treatment plant that will provide reclaimed water for landscape irrigation.

Description: 750-room upscale resort in the heart of Universal’s Escape. IH&W provided civil engineering services including site geometry, paving, grading, drainage, utility design and permitting as well as construction observation. Architect of Record is Milton Pate and Associates, Atlanta.

Description: Provided data collection and site investigation, estimation of existing and projected loads, analysis and report for the conditions, preparation of bid packages, and assistance during construction.

Employer: Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Club, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

Description: 48-room hotel expansion combined with a 80-unit timeshare project on 27 acres of beachfront. Prepared complete civil engineering design, including site geometry, grading, water, wastewater, storm drainage, and specifications. The project included the expansion of the reverse osmosis water treatment plant, a permanent ocean intake, an expansion of the wastewater treatment plant, expansion of the cisterns, and a reuse water distribution system. We assisted with the completion of the CZM permit, environmental permitting, building permits for the civil engineering work, and coordination with local agencies. Also providing construction phase services.

Description: A 3000-sf expansion to an existing 5-story resort condominium. The permitting went through the Coastal Zone Management. Modification to site included impacting the storm water pond and various utilities.

Employer: Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal City, Florida

Description: Civil engineering design for 35 acre, 1500-room hotel and convention center complex. The project is heavily themed and planned into the heart of Universal City Florida with interaction on the central waterway.

Employer: Royal Island, Bahamas
Position: Project Experience
Description: The project is a 500-acre resort to include residential units, hotel with spa and pools, marina village area, beach club with pool and tennis; village center utility area WWTP, WTP, water storage, mixed uses, substation/generator, service pier and sold waste area. The scope of services will included infrastructure schematic design, design development and construction documents.

Employer: Sugar Bay Resort, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
Position: Project Experience
Description: 300-room hotel located in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The buildings were strategically terraced along the side of the hilltop to maximize oceanfront views and breezes. The design included the pool, grotto, spa complex, pedestrian walkways, waterfalls, and suspension bridges

Employer: The Pointe at Cas en Bas, St. Lucia

Description: Provided preliminary civil engineering design for this 350-acre residential resort and golf club. The development also included a “five star” hotel, luxury condominiums and a 20,000 square foot spa.
