FULL BIO
I'm a full-time student at the University of Warwick studying Film and Television Studies. I'm currently in my 3rd and final year at University. At University I am the Vice President of the Warwick Film Studies society, a member of the Photography society, a member of the Warwick Entrepreneurs society, and dabble in the practical side of student film productions.
I am Sri Lankan by heritage, British born and raised, but moved to Beijing, China in 2000. I still live there, but I am currently back in the UK for university.
As well as being a student, I am also the co-founder and co-director of B-SIDE EMPIRE. B-SIDE EMPIRE is a company dedicated to showcasing, promoting, and supporting university student artists. We do this by showcasing student art (in the forms of: photography, illustration, graphic design, music, film, performance, fine art, sculpture, and creative writing) on our website http://www.turntothebside.com and by running showcase events such as, gigs, poetry readings, and exhibitions, amongst others. We hope to help students pursue their interests and talents within the area of art and help them get their work seen and heard by fellow students, art enthusiasts and network with people within the art industry. Being showcased on B-SIDE EMPIRE lets students to use the website as an online portfolio to present to professionals, whilst also allowing their talents to thrive whilst studying at University.
