Description: Currently drafting investment committee memorandum and actively evaluating direct investment opportunities, in healthcare and gaming industries (approximate transaction sizes ~$100 million).
Independently led Global Infrastructure investment team in 4-month deal process with Head of Alternatives at the China.
Investment Corporation ($200 billion sovereign wealth fund) in Beijing, brokering a potential strategic partnership and up to $1 billion investment into the group’s infrastructure private equity platform.
Spearheaded dialogue, negotiation, and seller interaction, resulting in the sourcing and valuation of portfolio of secondary private equity funds, both buyout and venture capital, from new endowment client (>$1 billion in assets).
Successfully completed two of the largest secondary investments (over $30 million and $100 million) in the group since Neuberger’s spin-out, in which discounted purchase prices for 34 underlying companies purchased from 2000-2007 were submitted to General Partners to be acquired as portfolio assets in $1.7 billion NB Secondary Fund II (closed July 2008).

Created legal, financial, and operational framework to enhance 2009-2010 sustainability model (initial grant $1,000 in 2008) by building Board of Directors, introducing volunteer/intern/fellows’ recruitment and Givology chapter initiatives, hiring CFO, securing pro-bono legal advisory, setting up fundraising guidelines, and streamlining human capital across New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco, Beijing, Shanghai, and England.

Was primarily responsible for heavy data analysis, information synthesis and design of materials in the final offering memorandum distributed to potential buyers of the asset (deal closed August 2008, cash sale at $605 million, 9x EBITDA).
Directly formulated, assessed and discussed appropriate sales positioning and strategy with M&A corporate development, marketing, and distribution senior management team of Unilever.

Description: Researched and analyzed traditional and alternative profit models to address project goals and expectations of local business owners, one of which incorporated findings into his business plan presented to venture capital investors in Spring 2008.
Performed in-depth client interviews for determining evidence-backed assumptions used in cost structure estimates and future revenue projections, specifically redrafted the future projections and execution strategy for alternative energy, light fixture company.
