- Developed concepts “from acorns to oak trees” for eight start-ups of which three provided over a 400% Return on Investment (Luxury Goods-UK and Hong Kong; Frozen Food- UK; Property Development- UK, Egypt and Malaysia; Hotels- Tobago and Australia); - Generated revenue in start-up businesses worth over £1m through hunting and nurturing customer relationships (Luxury Goods-UK and Hong Kong; Frozen Food- UK); - Developed Financial Turnaround Model (led a team of 5) in conjunction with Executive Team and Turnaround Consultants, which was implemented during the high distress period. This processed succeeded for 4 weeks until holding company collapsed into insolvency (Media Wholesale-UK- Turnover £1.6bn); - Developed distressed short term working capital management forecasts which was implemented during the high distress period. This processed succeeded for 4 weeks until holding company collapsed into insolvency (Media Wholesale-UK- Daily cash movement c.£6mn); - Carried out a productivity assessment of all finance Staff including performance management and motivations and matched it to the required business run rate during a high distress period which resulted in a downsizing by 20 FTE (Media Wholesale-UK- initial 85 FTE); - Developed a £50m investment appraisal model including repayment and return on investment proposal (led team of 4) working alongside sustainability experts for a 15 year investment plan which was used in a bid to government organisation (Facilities Management- UK); - Supervised the development of the operational financial bid (led team of 3) working alongside operational experts for a 15 year contract (Est. 1st year Revenues of £500m) which was used in a bid to government organisation. I participated in the formal internal presentation to the FTSE 100 Executive Approval Board and the work was subsequently approved and submitted in the BAFO bid (Facilities Management- UK); - Drafted initial investment contract terms and conditions for £50m investment plan and subsequently worked alongside internal lawyers which was them submitted in the BAFO bid (Facilities Management- UK); - Carried out an assessment of all finance Staff (20 FTE) including performance management, motivation and development to achieve departmental effectiveness following 3 acquisitions and merger of finance department which resulted in a restructuring of the finance team (Recruitment -UK); - Developed and implemented new commission structure which resulted in an estimated annual saving of £0.5m, involving 150 FTE across 5 global regions and 4 business units (Recruitment –EMEA, Asia Pac & US); - Developed and implemented 3 KPI and Trend periodic reports which analysed monthly revenue of £2.5m which subsequently was used in all Private Equity Investor review meetings (Recruitment –EMEA, Asia Pac & US); |
