FULL BIO

I have over 8 years of experiences in IT and wireless industry. In the beginning of my career, I was a leading software engineer to redevelop the first Korean internet search engine service (Kachine). The startup was acquired by Hyundai affiliate within 1 year of its operation for about $1M.

In 2000, I co-founded a unique, technology-based internet search engine company, RepiaCom Inc., with roles in leading technology development. I led development of the internet search engine ASP service that resulted in contracts with six portal websites among nation’s “Top 10” within first year of its launch.

From 2002 to 2006, I was a CEO of the startup and created and managed relationships with over 200 organization clients. My company was recognized as “the best search engine technology company” at Korea’s Digital Management Innovation Awards in 2003.

I work at IT/Wireless division at Austin Technology Incubator where I conduct due diligence to identify incubation opportunities for early-stage venture and develop the best practices to increase financial performance for portfolio companies. I also work at Global Commercialization Group at IC2 Institute of The University of Texas at Austin where I collaborate with foreign scientists, engineers, and innovators to match their technology with established U.S. or global organizations to accelerate commercialization.

I am a MBA candidate at the McCombs Schools of Business and have B.S. and M.S. in Computer and Communications Engineering from Daegu University in South Korea.
