Description: • Developed 5-year strategic reliability roadmap for upper management to improve competitive positioning of Sun products.
• Lead reliability engineer, ranked in top 10% of company, for Sun Network Attached Storage (NAS) products. Liaised with management and product designers on early architectural validation to ensure the product achieved reliability standards and minimized data loss.
• Reviewed thermal characteristics of the NAS system to define a manufacturing strategy that was implemented division-wide; reduced early life failures in the field and minimized warranty costs.
