Description: The company is total solution provider for the remarketing/reselling of vehicles at the end of their leasing contract. Its clients are primarily leasing, rental and car producing companies.
Major achievements:
Created the concept, wrote the business plan and founded the company together with partners from the automotive industry.
Introduced and sold the concept of an online auction with all major leasing companies in Belgium, and Europe.
Defined and developed the front end website with auction engine, as well as the back-office systems to ensure a fully automated workflow.
Compiled a database of 15.000 car traders across Europe.
Achieved break-even status in the first fiscal year.
Creation of the first subsidiary (Germany) in the second operating year, three extra subsidiaries (France, Italy, Spain) in the third operating year.

Description: After the acquisition of the EUnet Group by Qwest Communications (USA), it was used to create a European joint venture with the Dutch Telecom operator KPN, which placed its international optical data-network (“Eurorings”) into the newly created company, called KPNQwest.
It was my task and responsibility to define, develop and manage the customer care and billing function for all organizations in the KPNQwest group across Europe, serving 15+ countries and serving customers ranging from wholesale carriers to residential internet users.
Major achievements:
Creation of shared service centers in Leuven, Belgium and Hilversum, Netherlands.
Introduced and implemented a Kenan-based billing system.

Position: CEO, member of the Board of Directors / shareholder
Time period: January 1995 - December 1998
Description: PING was founded in 1995 as the first Internet Service Provider in Belgium for residential users.
After six 6 months, I took the place of the original CEO to turn around a failing situation. I was responsible for developing the business, restructuring the organization and ensuring and managing the exponential growth.
Major achievements:
Turnaround of a failing organization on the verge of financial bankruptcy.
Managed the company from 500 “users” to a profitable customer database of 35.000 accounts, with the greatest market share in Belgium in 1998.
Led the acquisition of Tornado Belgium, a rival company with 5.000 customers, and successfully managed its integration.
Recruited & trained a junior staff of 4 into a performing organization of 35.
Definition and creation of effective back-office systems and applications to manage the administrative and operational management operational procedures to sustain the growth of the company.
Assisted in the acquisition process of the company by Qwest Communications.
