Employer: SIFE Bath Project Leader (University of Bath Students’ Union)

Description: Enterprize is a pioneering community outreach project that I developed which looks at teaching entrepreneurship skills to local secondary school students. I delivered sessions to about 80 students from 3 different schools. I also pitched the project at the SIFE National Competition to a panel of judges from top multi-nationals which earned second place and some funding. The project is endorsed by the government’s widening participation department at the University who collaborated with Enteprize to run several schools’ projects.

Employer: Alliance Boots Pharmacy, Winchester

Time period: June 2008 - August 2008
Description: • Dispensed prescriptions, sold OTC medicines for minor ailments such as hay fever and counselled patients on the proper use of their medicines which developed my problem solving and communication skills.
• Responsible for maintaining stock levels in the pharmacy and ordering stock from suppliers.
•Weekly meetings with my tutor to review my progress in developing professional competences helped identify areas that needed improvement.
•Working in a multi disciplinary team in the Pharmacy developed my team working skills.
• I completed a project on the analysis of potential financial losses for the company and gave a presentation on my report.

Employer: Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals Lagos, Nigeria

Time period: July 2006 - August 2006
Description: •I worked with the Medical and Regulatory affairs department and was responsible for keeping an up-to-date and accurate database on product registration (statuses) in all the ECAWA (East, Central, Anglo-Lusophone and West Africa) region countries as well as compiling pharmaceutical dossiers.
•I also took part in a pharmacovigilence programme on local supply chain activities, run by the government in conjunction with Pfizer to monitor potential counterfeiting operations in Nigeria.
• At the end of this project, I produced a report on counterfeits and gave a presentation. As a result of my findings, I was asked to produce a patients safety campaigns pack for the company.

Employer: National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy, Lingfield, Surrey
Position: Student support worker
Time period: January 2005 - September 2005
Description: •My role as a SSW (student support worker) was to lead and participate in various recreational, educational and social activities with the students which developed my leadership skills.
•Working constantly with other staff and holding meetings with the line manager to discuss the progress of my key students developed team working skills.
• Providing those students who could sometimes be aggressive, distressed or disruptive with encouragement, reassurance and comfort gave me the chance to put my training into practice.

Description: •I gained a lot of journalistic experience working with the editorial team for OPI magazine. The office is based in central London and was therefore an opportunity to experience first hand what a "city job" is really like.
•A typical day involved writing news stories for the daily e-news sent out to e-news subscribers and researching on companies financial performances.

Hobbies: •Being multilingual, I do have an ear for languages and hope to improve my language skills through my love for traveling.
•I take dance classes in Salsa and belly dancing and performed at the Afro-Caribbean society show which I helped organise. I also enjoy a game of tennis and am a keen member of Bath Tennis Society.
•As a student Ambassador for the University of Bath, I encourage local students to consider higher education by organising events for them at the university. I also volunteer for Bath Rag Society and organise events for charity.
