Dr. Paraskevi (Evi) Batra is a Greek woman Electrical Engineer, graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), where she has elected as a Lecturer since February 2001. She holds a PhD related to the Electric Work Accidents during the production, transmission and distribution of electric energy. She has worked as Head of the Information and Documentation Center of the Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (ELINYAE) for six years. Today she works as Head of the Occupational Safety and Health Office of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and is one of its representatives in the National Council of Occupational Safety and Health. Her special areas of interest are electric accident, accident statistics, cost of accidents, workers’ participation and women’s working conditions. She is the founder of the Greek Women’s Engineering Association (EDEM).
