Co-founded and provided operational leadership for a company that provides a software platform for large enterprises to manage video communications. The company has grown from start-up phase (incubation with no employees), through three rounds of funding, to the leader in its market category.

Time period: September 2001 - September 2002
Description: Founded and led a company that provides just-in-time performance support content, such as procedural and troubleshooting workflows, to field service technicians on mobile devices. Company was not funded, and was shut down once Media Publisher was founded.
Responsibilities included:
• Establishing and maintaining company and product vision.
• Recruiting and leading top-quality equity-based management team of 4.
• Fundraising activities
• Leading business development activity, establishing relationships with companies such as Ikon Office Solutions, GE Medical Systems, Applied Materials, and NCR.

Employer: eScene Networks, Inc.

Time period: October 1999 - June 2001
Description: Co-founded and helped build a company that provided streaming media management solutions for corporations. Company was acquired by Inktomi Corporation in June, 2001.
Responsibilities included:
• Managing day-to-day operations of company with 37 employees.
• Overseeing company budget and cash management, including review and direction of all departmental budgets.
• Hiring and supervision of senior managers
• Developing the skills and capabilities of senior-level staff.

Employer: HMG/Wilson Learning Corp.
Position: VP, e-Learning Development
Time period: January 1998 - December 1999
Description: Led/managed a division of 30 design and production personnel creating custom interactive training products for corporate customers.
Responsibilities included:
• Managing $3 million budget for division.
• Developing and executing strategy of division.
• Supervising all operations of division, including Sales, Marketing, Design, Development, and Administration.
• Developing the skills and capabilities of senior-level staff.

Employer: The HyperMedia Group, Inc.
Position: President/CEO, Co-Founder
Time period: January 1988 - December 1998
Description: Co-founded custom multimedia development company. Company was acquired by Wilson Learning Corporation in March 1998.
• Responsible for all design and development activities of business.
• Helped grow company from three-person startup to peak size of 45 employees and $3.5 million in sales.
• As President/CEO, led the company in major refocusing effort, acquired a round of bridge financing, then successfully completed sale of company to Wilson Learning.
