Description: (Leader in building materials with $24.1bn revenues).
Developed business cases and led competitive bids to invest in new sources of Green cement
substitutes produced at coal power plants and steel plants. Managed monthly reporting and led
marketing initiatives to help improve the profits of new Business Unit (+25% or $14M EBIT)
· Successfully led a bid against 7 other players to acquire 800kT of materials in the Midwest
· Developed an approach highlighting pricing opportunities based on supply/demand, cost
position and next best alternative, improving the first pilot market by $1M EBIT
· Led the study identifying the impact of emerging CO2 regulations on the North American
cement plants
· Created the reporting process for this $70M EBIT product line

Position: Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy and Development
Time period: December 2003 - November 2006
Description: Drove analyses supporting network optimization studies for cement plants (greenfields,
brownfields, acquisitions) and addressing the management committee strategic questions
· Prepared the President’s presentation to the Corporate Board of Directors, securing a $1.5B
investment program: reported directly to the President and led the analyses with the input
and the buy-in of the functional executives
· Co-developed a customer segmentation approach to identify the business exposure with
accounts at risk of being acquired. Presented approach and recommended repositioning
strategy at annual strategists seminar in Istanbul, Turkey; received supportive feedback
· Identified several untapped opportunities in the Green cement substitutes business; was
promoted to Project Manager after approval of the creation of a specialized Business Unit
