Description: I was responsible for investments of about $200 million in the power and natural resources sector with investments in Transportadora de Electricidad and Electropaz in Bolivia, Tractebel Energía (formerly Gerasul) and Companhia Eletrica da Ceara in Brazil, Fertilizantes Nitrogenados de Oriente in Venezuela and Cablemas in Mexico. During the investment period sought investment opportunities and participated in many bids for privatized companies for a petrochemical company in Mexico, gas in Peru and many distribution and generating companies in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Central America, the Caribbean and Colombia.

Among many assignments ICF provided modeling and planning for Bayovar, a phosphate mining project in Peru; assisted in privatization efforts of Polisur and Petroquimica Bahia Blanca; participated in a strategic planning study for IIC's role; assisted IFC in the attempted privatization of Aerolineas Argentinas; prepared a cost and financing alternatives for a commercially developed space facility for NASA with the National Academy of Public Administration; worked for several projects with IFC, the World Bank and IDB; created a computer program to produce draft financial agreements for IFC and the World Bank; developed a computer program for front desk/back office operation of hotels, and; attempted to develop an open-ended Latin American Fund, to be listed on the NYSE to invest in Latin American securities.

(a chlorine-caustic soda project) and when Somex (the holding company) created the Chemical Division in 1977, became the financial coordinator of the Chemical Division.
