| Description: | For this new venture, I developed the business plan and hired the team to secure funds for two international start-up companies, each created to market and deliver energy and environmental technology to global utilities. We organized the initial company, EPRI S.A., in Brussels, Belgium to serve the large European client base, and in 2002, launched the second company, Beijing Electric Power Technology (BEPT), in China to serve the fast growing China energy and electricity market. I worked with legal teams in the United States, Belgium and China to overcome legal and taxation challenges. These new businesses helped increase the number of international customers from 32 to over 100 and increased revenue from $30 million to over $36 million. I also served as Chairman of the Board for EPRI S.A and BEPT. |

The team generated margins 16-20% higher than the business average by creating and meeting sales and marketing plans for each client.

| Memberships: | Board Director for Foundation for Sustainable Development (FSD), a U.S. based non-profit organization providing economic development opportunities for the population in 8 developing countries on three continents. I served as Board Chairman from 2005 until early 2008, during which time FSD hired its first professional Executive Director and doubled its revenue and outreach.
Since 2003, I have been the North American judge for Europe’s prestigious Energy Globe Award, “The World Award for Sustainability”. In 2004, I was accepted as the first individual member of International Electricity Research Exchange (IERE) headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. In 2006, I served as a volunteer energy consultant in East Africa and Madagascar with TechnoServe, a U.S. based non-profit, helping provide business solutions for the alleviation of rural poverty. |
