FULL BIO

Proven entrepreneurial executive with web start-up, big corp and international experience. I pride myself on my personal style which is positive, authentic and creative at all times.

Before becoming CEO of The Filter I was...
• Founder and senior partner of Digital-dna LLP (Dec 06 - Aug 07) - consulted on creating and implementing web strategies for a number of clients including BBC magazines, Radio 2, Origin, ElectricPig.tv and The Filter.
• New Media Director, iSporty (Jan 07 - Jul 07) - provided the founders with launch strategy and platform for their sport social network (now partnered with BBC Sport).
• New Media Director Europe, Future (Jun 04 - Dec 06) - board director responsible for Future’s European web operations including brands like GamesRadar, T3, Total Film and Metal Hammer.
• Founder & Publishing Director, Future Plus (May 03 - Sep 05) - founded a creative agency to provide tailor-made print and digital content solutions for Future’s advertisers - generating annual revenues of £5m+ in just over 2 years.
• Publishing Director, Future Games (May 01 - May 03) - board director responsible for Future’s games portfolio (10 magazines, 2 websites, £30m revenues, 80 people).

Foundations:
• Before my step up into senior management, I was a magazine editor and then publisher. My roots are firmly in content and in fulfilling the very specific information and entertainment needs that people have. My entrepreneurial streak and passion for communicating with people lead me to raise angel funds to launch two magazines at the age of 24: Unique (the first student lifestyle magazine) and The Game (a European football mag).
• Education: Advanced Management Programme (Ashridge Business School), European Economics and Law (University of Wales, Cardiff), European Baccalaureate (European School, Brussels).

Personal stuff:
• I play, watch and coach football; I am passionate about making and listening to music; I live with my wife and two children just outside of Bath (England); I am bi-lingual English/French and my favourite city in the world is Nice - though San Francisco comes a close second.
