Description: Unicru is the leading provider of eRecruiting applications to the retail industry with over 100 large retail clients, including 12 of the nation’s 50 largest retail companies.
RESULTS
• Consistently delivered results through significant transition period for Unicru, rebuilding the sales organization, implementing a consultative sales process, significantly reducing turnover, and aligning Sales & Marketing programs that directly resulted in increased pipeline and bookings.
• Led sales team through very competitive, complex sales cycles resulting in significant wins with many of the nation’s largest retailers, including Costco, Albertson’s, PetSmart, AMC Theatres, Mervyns, Nordstrom, Sports Authority, Shopko, Whole Foods, Wild Oats, Ulta Cosmetics and others.
• Initiated the company’s entry into the mid-market, leading to the creation of a team of eight direct sales professionals dedicated to selling into this rapidly growing segment.
• Managed sales organization, with dual roles as Western Region VP Sales and acting SVP Sales since June 2005 thorough significant M&A activity and successful acquisition by Kronos, Inc. in September 2006.
• Exceeded quota in first year after inheriting a sales organization that required significant staff development. Continued to drive growth of over 20% annually for the past 3 ½ years.

Description: Workscape is a leading provider of HR self-service solutions for employee self-service, manager self-service, compensation planning, performance management and outsourced benefits administration. Workscape was created by merging three companies, including Edify’s HR Applications Business Unit.
RESULTS
• As acting Vice President of Sales during Workscape’s first 6 months in operation, built the entire sales organization from three employees to 38 employees in four months; hired Directors for direct sales, channel sales, sales engineering, sales development and sales operations, as well as the initial (10) direct sales team.
• As the senior member of the sales management team reporting to the SVP Sales & Services, developed all compensation and incentives plans, planned and delivered all national sales meetings, and adjusted territories/regions annually.
• Grew annual sales from less than $7 million to over $40 million in annual bookings. Led sales to large, nationally recognized companies, including Sun Microsystems, Eli Lilly, USAA, Bank One, FedEx Ground, Kaiser Permanente, Pilkington, Whole Foods, KB Homes, USAA, and others.
• Exceeded quota and qualified for President’s Club every year

2000 – 98% of $16M quota
2001 – 131% of $20M quota
2002 – 106% of $23M quota

Description: Edify is a leading provider of voice and web-based self-service software and services with specific focus on call center, human resource and online banking applications.
RESULTS
• Grew HR sales from two pilot customers with no revenue to over 20 large, enterprise customers and over $6.5M in human resource applications business.
• Developed an HR Sales Guide to educate Edify’s existing sales organization – which was focused exclusively on selling call center and banking applications when I arrived – on the value proposition and selling strategies to effectively position Edify as a leading HR application provider. Directly managed all HR sales.
• Exceeded quota and qualified for President’s Club each year
1998 – 108% of $2.4M quota
1999 – 180% of $4.0M quota

Description: Tektronix is a worldwide organization operating in over 26 countries, providing test and measurement, video editing and printing equipment.
RESULTS
• Developed HR systems strategy for corporation, including 26 countries and over 8,000 employees. Executed the plan to completely revolutionize the way HR services were delivered to Tektronix employees worldwide through the use of web-based employee and manager self-service applications.

Position: Vice President of Operations & Finance (co-owner)
Time period: June 1992 - July 1995
Description: Discovery Zone is an indoor play center focused on offering children a safe place to play while receiving the benefits of physical exercise.
RESULTS
• Secured over $2.5M in financing from a combination of private and public funding sources and opened four franchised Discovery Zone facilities throughout Portland and Vancouver, employing over 120 people and operating profitably.
• Recognized by Discovery Zone, Inc. as the franchisee of the year two consecutive years.
• Negotiated the sale of all privately owned operations to the franchisor and managed all operations for Oregon, Washington and Western Canada through a six-month transition period.
