Description: Financial and marketing assignments:
• Development of an internal consulting division for Banco Santander, hiring staff, designing investigation strategies, investigating potential take overs and sources of market advantage
• Strategic planning and development of a Scandinavian based group in preparation for an AIM listing in 2008/9. This is a group of companies that is trading Russian power into the Baltic states. Over the course of 9 months I assisted them by:
o developing a listing timetable
o appointing PwC as global tax advisors
o obtaining introductions to UBS and Deutsche Bank as listing partners
o appointing new executives
o planning the management invcentive scheme
o planning the group finance and treasury centre
o dealing with leasing issues surrounding a corporate jet
o reorganizing shareholdings and group companies worldwide.
Forensic and investigative assignments:
• Investigation into the offshore funding structure of a computer and video games company that made false and misleading press releases. Investigation lead to giving evidence in a criminal trial and to the loss-free cessation of contracts entered into by the mislead companies that would otherwise have become victims
• Investigation into the value and completeness of disclosure of a construction company group in a Middle East country as part of a contested divorce case in the UK. Gave report to Counsel and assisted the solicitors to the plaintiff
• Investigation into the value of a UK financial institution for a rival company.
Accounting and systems support
• 6 month assignment at a major catering group which was reorganizing its purchase and procurement systems. Managed a team of 7 qualified accountants. Helped streamline and manage payment flows in excess of £5m a month, bring down the number and value of disputed items, improved all internal processing and payment metrics and recovered more than the assignment cost in credits and settlements.

Description: Executive director with UK animation / entertainment software company developing Moviestorm (digital animation for amateurs
(www.moviestorm.co.uk)). A start up funded by NESTA, IQ Capital, GEIF, Create Partners and Cambridge Angels, with an excellent technical and management team.

Took the company from a bedroom idea, built a team of 17 people, built the company and all the infrastructure, raised $6m over 2 1/2 years, completed and launched the commercial version of Moviestorm, built and launched a community website, built the online shop and started taking revenue from content sales, and took our user numbers through the pioneer and into the early mass adopter stage of 18,000 registered users and downloads by December 2008.

Having delivered two titles that gained very good reviews, we lost a critical customer and then sold the trade and assets in August 2004
