David Ameche studies Aerospace Engineering and Multidisciplinary Design at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. As a freshman, he founded U-M Experimental Aircraft, a sponsored student team building an AeroCar Coot M 1-A, a two-seat amphibious aircraft, in addition to promoting student flight training and general aviation within U-M. David has been lead engineer for paper-feet since its early days, developing designs and sizing, optimizing prototypes for the CNC lab, and assisting in the technical aspects of day-to-day operations. David is also a lead instructor at U-M's Camp CAEN, a summer computer camp for middle and high school students, teaching 3D Modeling and Virtual Reality, and Hands-On Computer Hardware Design and Construction. He is also the Leadership Awards Chair for Epeians, U-M’s Engineering Leadership Honor Society. His other interests include flying, going on adventures, automotive restoration, graphics, computers, electronics, and architecture.
