WORK EXPERIENCE

Employer: River City Bank – Sacramento, CA
Position: AVP / Business Banking Relationship Manager
Time period: October 2008 - Present
Description: Employer Description: River City Bank is a 17-branch retail and commercial bank in the greater Sacramento region.

Responsibilities: Manage commercial depository and lending relationships for mid sized businesses and high net worth individuals.

Employer: Presidio Bank – San Francisco, CA
Position: AVP / Relationship Credit Manager
Time period: September 2006 - October 2008
Description: Employer Description: Presidio Bank is a relatively young commercial bank focused on middle sized businesses, commercial real estate owners/developers, nonprofits, and high net worth individuals.

Responsibilities: My responsibilities at Presidio Bank can be divided into the following three general categories:

Relationship Management Activities:
I participated in business development efforts with senior relationship managers, the CEO, and occasionally the bank’s chairman. When the senior relationship managers are out of the office, I serve as their backup and have handled loan transactions from application to funding in their absence.

Financial Analysis and Underwriting:
I underwrote over $100 million in loan commitments to small/mid size businesses, high net worth individuals, and real estate investors. With such a diverse client base, I have underwritten a variety of loan types from standard revolving lines of credit and term loans to asset-based lines to uniquely structured commercial real estate loans.

Reports and Projects for the Executive Management Team:
I designed most of the Chief Credit Officer’s monthly Board reports using my own Excel based programs, which extract raw data from our core processing system and automatically manipulates it into a presentable format. Other projects include the development of a complex and user-friendly pipeline program and the complete redesign of the relationship managers’ incentive compensation plan to better align their interests with those of the bank.

Employer: Foresight Consulting – Davis, CA
Position: Financial Analyst
Time period: July 2005 - September 2006
Description: Employer Description: Foresight Consulting is a boutique municipal consulting firm specializing in water, sewer, and garbage rate analysis.

Responsibilities: I developed customized Excel-based financial models used to perform utility rate analyses and budget forecasts. Following completion of the analyses, I created extensive final reports outlaying the results of the study. Throughout the process, Foresight’s principal and I would meet with the city council and city staff to discuss progress and results.

Reason for Leaving: While I had a great relationship with Foresight’s principal, I lacked passion for the water, sewer, and garbage consulting field.

Employer: Property Sciences Group – Concord, CA
Position: Residential Real Estate Appraiser
Time period: May 2005 - July 2005
Description: Employer Description: Property Sciences Group is a rapidly growing real estate appraisal firm, which performs both commercial and residential appraisals throughout Northern California.

Responsibilities: I performed full appraisals on single family homes and reviewed appraisal results from other firms when results were questionable.

Reason for Leaving: The repetitive nature of performing numerous cookie-cutter residential appraisals did not fit well with my ambitions.

Description: Responsibilities: I presented financial concepts to over 200 students during 2-hour review sessions, I created and graded homework assignments, midterms, and final exams, and I worked very closely with a sophisticated investor, real estate developer, and professor.
