FULL BIO

Charles Armstrong is an entrepreneur and ethnographer based in London. Charles serves as Chief Executive of Trampoline Systems, the social analytics pioneer recently selected by IDC as one of the world’s top ten business software innovators. Charles is also Director of One Click Orgs, the first platform for virtual organizations.

Charles studied Social and Political Sciences at St John’s College, Cambridge. He went on to be mentored by Lord Young of Dartington, one of the architects of Britain’s post-war society. A lot of his thinking on informal structure and self-government was influenced by field research in the Isles of Scilly, northern Ghana and the Mediterranean island of Stromboli.

Charles is a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, a board member of the Fundacja Techsoup and an advisor to several ventures. He speaks from time to time at symposia around the world on subjects of interest. Occasionally he also performs with baroque keyboard instruments or electroacoustic noise generators.
