FULL BIO
Carles Vergara-Alert is an Assistant Professor of Finance at IESE Business School. He obtained his Ph.D. in Finance and Real Estate, a M.Sc. in Business Administration (Finance) and a Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) from the University of California Berkeley (Haas School of Business). He also earned a degree in Civil Engineering (Eng. de Camins, Canals i Ports) from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya.
His primary area of expertise is focused on asset pricing and real estate finance. Prior to his doctoral studies, he held risk management positions as a quantitative analyst at Allianz Hedge Fund Partners in San Francisco and the Allianz Group in Munich. He has presented his work at academic conferences in the U.S. and Europe.
