FULL BIO
Co-founder and CEO of Business Empire Consulting Bryan Young has a remarkable track record as a business visionary. With years of experience as a business leader, Bryan brings confidence and business savvy to the company. Most importantly, he continues to harness the creativity, innovation and enthusiasm of a talented team into viable business solutions, services and products.
Bryan started Business Empire Magazine, which evolved into Business Empire Consulting, while he was on the verge of bankruptcy at age 20. Less than three years later, Bryan was youngest person to ever be awarded the “Top 40 under 40 Leadership Award” from the Triangle Business Journal based in Raleigh, NC. This prestigious award honors the most promising young business people in the Triangle. As a undergraduate at North Carolina State University, he became the first student to ever speak at the Entrepreneurship Lecture Series. Bryan has also been featured in Young Money Magazine.
Selling candy in elementary school when he was eight years old gave Bryan his first taste of entrepreneurship. He started a lawn care service when he was 12 that netted more than $600 a week during the summer. Bryan was fascinated by business and often snuck into business workshops and conducted research at the local library. At the age of 17, Bryan brought an 18-wheeler instead of his first car to start a long haul and logistics trucking company with his mother. By the time Bryan was 19, his fleet had grown to 22 trucks.
Surprisingly, Bryan almost did not become a entrepreneur. His grandmother bootlegged liquor out of her house, and many of the men residing in the projects where she lived were drug dealers. At the age of 6, Bryan was already using his creativity to make his own money, not always in the most ethical ways. His mother and aunt were not fond of his panache for making money nor his growing interest in drug lords, so they banded together and prevented Bryan from selling drugs. They still feared the negative activities of the neighborhood would lead Bryan to prison, like every other male in their family.
Bryan remains the only male in his family who has not been to prison, and the first person in his family to attend college. His mother, grandmother and aunt are very proud.

| Position: | Business Empire Group, Inc |
| Time period: | August 2008 - Present |
| Description: | Our solutions are as individual as each client. Deliverables may include a custom written excel suite designed to automate a time-intensive calculation, an integrated open source PBX and CRM software, or even a Reputation Management and New/Social Media/SEO Campaign plan.
Our roots are in web design and web application development, and with the current state of technology, we try to build every solution so they can exist on a webserver rather than a desktop. All of our solutions include a way of measuring effectiveness and return on investment. If we can’t prove it will work – why should we advise it? |
