| Description: | • Conceived and designed prototype for cognitive-driven, neuro-mechanical actuator for aiding paraplegic patients with physical mobility. Prototype designed under $1000, with significant socio-economic ROI
• Conducted experiments in alternative technologies, on different compositions of Repol 34 (polypropylene) with Cloisite 20A nanoclay and achieved a 40% enhancement of mechanical properties at only 5% incremental cost • Evaluated and verified different kinematic and mechanical movements in the operation of an Intelligent Multitasking Robot. Two additional degrees of freedom were added to Honda’s ASIMO system, providing geometrically enhanced performance at 70% of the cost of Honda’s system • Designed the basis for an autonomous surveillance vehicle which navigates using cameras, infra red (IR) and proximity sensors. Chipset was fabricated very cost effectively at less than $24. • Spearheaded a time and materials study to increase production by 10% per day at Alpump Pvt. Ltd., a leading automotive pump manufacturing facility at Chennai, India |
