| Description: | Experimental research on hairpin vortices for the flow control group at the department. Work involved the investigation of the creation, growth and dispersion of hairpin vortices behind a static pimple. Experiments involved the use of hydrogen-bubble-wire and fluorescent dye visualisations. Simultaneous side & plan view visualisations were developed and presented in a poster outlining the study and its results. The study was completed within tight time constraints and required a strong problem-solving ability. |
