Description: Experimental research on hairpin vortices for the flow control group at the department. Work involved the investigation of the creation, growth and dispersion of hairpin vortices behind a static pimple. Experiments involved the use of hydrogen-bubble-wire and fluorescent dye visualisations. Simultaneous side & plan view visualisations were developed and presented in a poster outlining the study and its results. The study was completed within tight time constraints and required a strong problem-solving ability.

Time period: May 2004 - August 2004
Description: My position involved improving company records systems under strict time and cost constraints.
My role also involved producing the company database, capable of mail-merging and creating on-demand reports on all clients and their financial activities. I also advised in database capabilities and functionality, demonstrating business awareness and customer focus. The work required strong interpersonal, networking and planning skills and knowledge in database design & construction.

Hobbies: Recently I have been particularly interested in photography and have developed my photography and post-processing skills to a good standard. I have developed a gallery online to exhibit my abilities as a photographer and am currently working to be a semi-professional photographer.
My photography is exhibited at www.bharatlad.co.uk. I have also exhibitied some of my work
at the Blyth Gallery, Imperial College.

Previously I have been an active member of the Aeronautics and Indian societies at Imperial College, helping to organise and participating in a wide range of fund raising events. Outside of Imperial College I am a member of SPA London which is a charity organisation, having been elected to several positions within the charity I have gained strong interpersonal skills and much experience speaking in public.
