Description: XPress’s sister company, I was delegated along with selected key staff to establish a nationwide iDEN network in Saudi Arabia, which was built under a B.O.T agreement with the incumbent operator Saudi Telecom (STC).
With the increased demand for the provision of special coverage and technical requirements of prospective high-profile clients such Saudi ARAMCO and Saudi Airlines, the Special Projects Department was establish and I was assigned to it to handle such projects and manage its accounts.
Responsibilities:
● Plan and manage special coverage projects ranging from large scale in-building system to full macro sites depending on customers’ requirements and mobilization of Cells-on-Wheels CoWs.
● Manage technical requirements of high-profile customers and provide sales support through preparing bid responses, compliance statements & provide technical documentation.
● prepare feature development documents and take part in specification and development of new products and services related to the managed accounts or to the general offering of the network.
● Preparing and producing weekly, monthly and periodic executive reports for the technical department that covers key performance indicators, network operations and narratives.
● Plan and manage the yearly Hajj season project in which CoWs are deployed and special O&M and 24 hour operation cycle is implemented.

Time period: November 2005 - November 2006
Description: Upon the completion of phase one of the network roll-out, I was reassigned to the marketing department to assist within the business development unit.
● Establishing a liaison body between the marketing and technical departments, responsible for the seamless flow of marketing requirements and directives and coverage priorities.
● Conduct field surveys and data gathering and trending exercises to better understand the market and to assist other departments with its respective responsibilities, such as :
- Network coverage priorities, contiguity and capacity planning.
- New showrooms openings.
- Sales force distribution and sizing.
- Marketing strategies.
● Conduct vertical/horizontal sales & marketing exercises with the sales department.
● Establish & run periodic reports from executive dashboards to detailed subscriber growth, ARPU, usage, customer-base clustering and trends reports.

Position: Field Implementation Manager, reporting to CTO
Time period: September 2004 - November 2005
Description: I was assigned to the central and eastern provinces covering roughly 125 sites.
● Establish technical requirements for the purpose of vendor & contractor’s selection and
qualification.
● Design Project Implementation Plans and run project-control related analysis.
● Manage the actual cell-sites deployment for 120 sites in the central & eastern provinces.
● Coordinate collocation procedures and standards with the incumbent network to maximize cooperation and utilization, Also to minimize the side effects of site collocation.
● Control site construction and quality control documentation and close-out procedures.
● Project budget control and liaison with the financial department to provide them with project data, fixed-assets tracking data and full documentation for the eventual B.O.T transfer of asset and operation to STC.

Position: Field Implementation & Project Engineer, reporting to field implementation manager
Time period: August 2003 - September 2004
Description: A professional digital trunking radio service operator utilizing Motorola’s proprietary iDEN technology, emphasizing on the corporate market.
I joined the company as a trainee and worked my way to the following responsibilities:
● Civil, mechanical, electrical and telecom works follow-up for cell-sites implementation.
● eBTS installation, commissioning and trouble-shooting.
● Microwave transmission equipment (PDH, SDH and ADM) installation, commissioning
and trouble-shooting.
● Cell-sites acceptance procedures, including VSWR and RF sub-system testing.
● Cell-sites integration with the main switch office (MSO).
● Indoor coverage solution planning, installation and deployment.
● Project planning and outlining.
● Departmental budget documentation and forecasting.
● Establishing technical and financial comparisons for managerial decision-making
purposes.
