Description: Created a website where users can contribute to the site by uploading audio and text translations in their native languages, can view
similar content uploaded by other users, and can request translations from the community. To ensure quality content, users can rate and
search the uploaded content to obtain speedy results. Still in development, we plan to add a matching system for translators, in which
high-performing contributors are matched to users paying for lengthy or specialized translations.

Position: Operations Management Engineering Intern
Time period: June 2009 - September 2009
Description: Created a “cost transparency” (CT) tool for strategic groups, Yahoo! Finance, and engineering leadership. The CT tool allows users to better understand and optimize Yahoo!'s operating costs through selection and graphical display of cost drivers by expenditure type, product group, time-frame, and region. Shows trends in operating costs and lets the user manipulate the formulas that dictate operating costs, forecasting new costs and pinpointing inefficient expenditures.

Description: Developed from scratch a cross-OS (Windows, Mac, Linux) compatible desktop application version of WebEx Connect, a leading corporate collaboration platform, using Adobe Flex and AIR technologies. Analyzed application usage metrics using machine-learning
software such as Weka Data Mining, and created interactive interfaces for them using Adobe Flex technologies.

Description: Developed a system of improving design center productivity through the effective management of chip scripts. Delivered presentation to higher-level managers at multiple sites who will use the system for similar chip-design departments, to consolidate multiple code repositories throughout IBM. Published in the October 2007 issue of ASIC Design Center News.
