FULL BIO
I am a certified translator from English and Spanish into Swedish. My clients are private persons, companies and translation agencies requiring professional translations, proof-reading and editing, localisation and adaption of texts, copy writing and subtitling. It is my aim to always deliver accurate and attractive texts written in idiomatic Swedish.
As an experienced translator, I have specialised in creative texts (marketing, PR and advertising), editorial texts (reports, press releases and market research), informative texts (travel guides, web sites, general IT, product information and technical manuals), and financial texts (quarterly financial reports and company/Group information). Other personal favourites are children’s literature and texts concerning the environment.
In terms of work capacity, I translate between 1500-3000 words per day, and proof-read and edit 1500-2000 words per hour – all depending on the text and its level of difficulty. Translations are usually charged per word in the source text, and for proof-reading and editing I charge per hour. Rates might vary depending on the quality of the source text, and its degree of difficulty, format and size. A more favourable rate can be discussed if it is a large project, an update of a previous project, if the text contains a large amount of repetitions, or if a continuous work flow for a specific period of time can be guaranteed.
As an associated member of SFÖ, the Swedish Association of Professional Translators, I comply with the Code of professional ethics set forth by the association.
I work on a regular basis with a number of different translation agencies (Swedish, English and Spanish ones) and companies. To give you an idea of my broad experience and the different types of translation projects I have worked on, it is worth mentioning clients such as;
