Description: Product: Redroom.com is a Web 2.0 social networking site for authors and their fans.
Role:
• Worked closely with CEO and V.P of Marketing to gather product ideas and prepared quarterly engineering and marketing roadmaps that addressed the needs of our primary customer segment.
• Wrote image import and Flickr integration module in PHP, mySQL and Java and performed code reviews for developers.
• Responsibilities include product, program, marketing & project management and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
• Researched & designed product architecture for solutions such as Voice-to-podcast platform for mobile podcasting and blogging, Flickr library integration & Bookplates project.
• Recruited a stellar engineering team and built a productive working environment.
• Addressed site performance issues by adding scalable servers, aggressive caching, improving code performance and hiring competent engineers.
