Alistair Adams

My name is Alistair Adams, although everyone over here in England calls me Ali. I'm currently a 2nd year studying Engineering at Warwick.

I'm a thinker; have been since the day I was born. I love understanding everything I come across, from the mechanical to the psychological. I have a lot of ideas but realise I don't have the skills to implement them, so i am looking forward to a day where I can be surrounded by talented and skilled people who have the potential can turn my ideas into real concepts (or tell me that it's a stupid idea!).

I'm a very critical person; in terms of both my ideas and my actions. I want to be the best I can be and as a result, I am continually self-analysing and looking for any criticisms I can find. I guess these values can come through occassionally, especially in my work (I came first in Northern Ireland in A-level Technology and Design with 100% in coursework).

I'm not a politician. I believe in honesty and efficiency in business and flowery language and hanging around with the 'right people' are two things that I strongly disaprove of.

Over the last year I have been doing a lot of looking into internet based business, following interviews and articles from some of the great names in the business and the massive potential for what is out there is truely inspiring.

I'll never be an expert with coding, but I like to understand the things that I'm involved in and I'm now at the point I can design my own sites and online 'tools'. I'm a fast learner and can now code HTML, PHP and MYSQL- the core languages of the internet - to a reasonable competence. Using these new 'skills' I now am beginning to build some initial capital by doing design work (£420 per site is a good old earner when you are a student!).
