Team developed analyses shareholder and customer share of savings, and provided 10-year cash flow implications into deal valuation • Provided due diligence for a private equity investor regarding proposed acquisition of a supplier of nuclear energy components. Team conducted extensive expert, customer and user interviews, on which basis future industry sales and target company market shares were developed as input into client valuation models. Recommended against acquisition, saving client an estimated $150 million in present value differential between intrinsic value and projected price of the target • Led an assessment of “new energy” business opportunities in the U.S. for a multinational oil& gas company. Assessment included new businesses, like IGCC, coal bed methane, polygeneration, and carbon sequestration, as well as the potential policy environment and implications for business portfolio performance, including cap and trade, and carbon-tax. |
