Abimbola Dairo graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and a concentration in Infectious Diseases and International Health. While at Stanford, she served on the Executive Board of the Stanford Africa Business Forum for three years. During her tenure on the Board, she recorded the first surplus of funds in the history of the organization. While at Stanford, Abimbola received numerous awards including: the Bingham Fund for Student Innovation in Human Biology the Crossfield, Coley, and Black Academic Achievement Award for 9 Quarters of Superior Academic Performance, and the Stanford Class of 2010 Award of Excellence. In 2006, she founded UCAN! (Understand College Admissions Now!), a non-profit organization that provides inner-city high school students with workshops about the college admissions process. As a Merage American Dream Fellow, she secured seed funding to expand UCAN!'s operations to Atlanta and DC in addition to current sites in New York.
