  • 1. Upcoming Calendar - September 2010

Hello and Welcome to Fall 2010!

We have quite an exciting semester coming up. Fall is always an exceptionally good time with the E-Club thanks to our football games, which means tailgates! This year especially, we will be having our tailgates PROFESSIONALLY CATERED made possible by DishDash! As usual we will have a prime spot in the middle of campus across from Tommy. Don't forget to keep your business casual attire clean as well, come November and October we'll be taking our members in stretch limos to various bars downtown for drink specials and appetizers with fellow students, alumni, and business professionals.

Of course with play comes business. This year we will not only hold our intensive workshops and inspiring speaker events, but YOU will get more involved. Being the Entrepreneur Club, we want to foster our members' creativity and help in their current and future endeavors. In the next few months we will be holding a Professional Selling Competition where you'll get the chance to learn by doing. From accepting rejection to hard negotiation, any sale you'll be making will mean direct profit to you. We will also be hosting a Professional Pitch Night where members pitch their currently-running business or business idea in front of a panel of Alumni, Incubators, Angel Investors, and Venture Capital Partners. Whether you seek funding, a partner, or just practicing your pitch, you'll get the connections of a lifetime through the E-Club.

Below is our schedule for the upcoming month of September, we will notify you as dates approach:

-September 7th: Sales 101 Workshop with Adam Shavitz from Accelerate Performance
-September 11th: First tailgate against Virginia, enjoy professionally catered food and beer in the most prime spot on campus, right at the heart of campus across from Tommy
-September 21-23rd: Three-night Intensive Sales Bootcamp
-September 21/22: Guest Speaker Derek Norton with Water Tower Group, a talk on how to fund your technology startup.
-September 28th: Social Entrepreneurship Panel with StartingBlocLA, meet the founders of Ethos Water, GreenDot Public Schools and Chrysalis. Learn about doing good in society while still making money.

  • 3. Attention Alumni!!

    Fellow Trojans,

The USC Entrepreneur Club is unique from other organizations on campus because it is a collection of all majors, a web of all industries and personalities woven together with one thing in common: The Entrepreneurial Mindset. The term Entrepreneur is often misunderstood as a person that simply starts businesses. Although in many cases true, Entrepreneurs are more broadly defined as the inventors, the thinkers, the doers, those that solve problems; those that move the world forward.

Especially nowadays, much of the success of any Entrepreneur lies in the connections he or she has built, the network they've created throughout schools and in the workplace. In these times of change and opportunity, students need a family to look up to, the Trojan Family. USC prides itself in its worldwide network called the Trojan Family and we'd like YOU to help prove to our members that connection is indeed real.

As our membership numbers grow, we seek more funding and mentors to satisfy our needs and keep our promises. If you are interested in getting involved as a mentor, a sponsor, an investor, or simply making a (tax-deductible) donation please e-mail us at ContactUSCEclub@gmail.com with "Getting Involved" in the title. We will follow up with you on different ways you can help us create a stronger legacy, and we hope you can find value in initiating contact as well.

If you wish to simply make a donation (not tax-deductible) feel free to purchase a membership on our website (USCEclub.com) to support our upcoming events.
