Students start up social enterprise projects that are sustainable in the long run, giving vulnerable or less fortunate people an economic opportunity and entrepreneural skills. The teams then present their projects at a national competition and get the chance to compete internationally. Bath has six projects with different focuses.
Life 1:1 helped a homeless man Ray Clark, get a job and find housing
Travellingbug is sending 10 volunteers to Bolivia to work for a charity and is giving the chairty a sustainable income .
Student Enterprise 07 is a conference to encourage and equip budding entrepreneurs

    The William James Foundation has announced 8 competitions that together provide $100,000 in cash and in kind support for sustainable entrepreneurs. Entrants can be of any age or from anywhere in the world. First round deadline is December 4th. Details at: www.williamjamesfoundation.org/press.
