The NC State University Entrepreneurship Initiative (EI) eGames is a celebration of the spirit of student entrepreneurship across all colleges and disciplines at NCSU. They are open to all full-time and part-time NCSU students – grad and undergrad.

ABOUT US
The NC State University Entrepreneurship Initiative (EI) is proud to present the eGames—an Entrepreneurship Olympiad. The eGames are a celebration of the spirit of student entrepreneurship across all colleges and disciplines at NC State. The purpose of the eGames is to act as a catalyst for bringing together student entrepreneurs in the spirit of creative competition and to foster a university-wide entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The eGames are organized around the concept of the Olympics and are open to all full-time and part-time NC State students, grad and undergrad. Students, working in teams, or individually, will compete for both medals and prizes totaling $30,000 in nine main events. There will also be prizes and gifts awarded for various other game-day events.
The different categories in which students can compete are:
TOGA (The Olympic Graphics Arts) Award (Gold $1,000, Silver $500, Bronze $250):
Students, working in teams or individually, will create a poster for best slogan and logo design to encourage sustainability as defined by the US EPA: “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
APOLLO AWARD for best business plan (Gold $3,000, Silver $1,000, Bronze $500):
The business plan competition provides students, working in teams or individually, an opportunity to work together to turn their innovative ideas for products and services into real businesses.
MERCURY AWARD for best every day innovation video (Gold $1,500, Silver $750, Bronze $500): Modeled after the highly innovative Stanford University Global Innovation Tournament concept, students, working in teams or individually, will create as much value as possible given a specific object.
DAEDALUS AWARD for best product design demo (Gold $3,000, Silver $1,000, Bronze $500): This award provides students, working in teams or individually, the opportunity to showcase their creative talents and ingenuity in the creation of a potential new product.
CALLIOPE AWARD for best elevator pitch (Gold $1,200, Silver $800, Bronze $500): Students will have to provide a 90 second elevator pitch for a new business concept.
ATHENA AWARD for “Design for the other 90%” (Gold $3,000, Silver $1,000, Bronze $500):
“Design for the Other 90% demonstrates how design can be a dynamic force in saving and transforming lives, at home and around the world.” — Your ideas will be judged accordingly.
VENUS AWARD for extreme website makeover – (Gold $3,000, Silver $1,000, Bronze $500): Students, working in teams or individually, will perform an extreme makeover of a company’s website. The company will be selected by the eGames committee.
ZEUS AWARD for best-at-eGames ($500):
Best-at-eGames is based on a weighted compilation of medals won with Gold= 4 points, Silver= 2 points, and Bronze= 1 point. In the event of a tie, the prize will be split evenly.
TITAN AWARD for best graduate business plan (Gold $3,000, Silver $1,000, Bronze $500): This award allows NC State Graduate students and teams the opportunity to create and showcase a complete business plan for a new venture.
