1. INTRODUCING YOUNOODLE PLATFORM
Dear Students,
We are now using Younoodle to manage our members and mailing list for registered entrants to the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge 2008. Please follow the link below to activate your account:

All your submission must go through the Younoodle platform, please create your personal accounts in YouNoodle and then set up your Startup group by the team leader. Your business summaries will be submitted from the Startup group you created.

2. BUSINESS SUMMARY TEMPLATE
You are required to use the "summary template" as the prescribed form for submission of business summary. The template can be downloaded from below:

• The name of your project and each team member are required on the cover sheet. If you have a visual promotion available for evaluation by the Judges, please also input the URL for Visual Promotion accordingly.
• The content outlines are created for your reference only, They are designed to guide your thinking process. You may change them at your discretion.
• Please rename your summary to a format "HKSEC2008_Team_teamnumber" where "teamnumber" should be your team number from 001 to 130. The List of Student Teams is updated and available on the HKSEC web site:

3. SUBMISSION PROCEDURES FOR SUMMARY
Summary Document Format: Submission of Summary are required only in digital format by uploading to the designated platform and via email. The file must be prepared either in Microsoft Word (2003 version or earlier) or Acrobat PDF format.
By Uploading to Younoodle
Younoodle is the official partner of HKSEC in providing a business plan competition management platform for the Judges to evaluate the document entries online. You must upload your Summary to this platform otherwise your entry will not be judged.

Procedures:
1. You must first join Younoodle and set up your Younoodle account. The team leader must join Younoodle in order to submit the entry, but each team member is also encouraged to join so that you can create a startup (which is your future SE venture) on the younoodle platform.
2. Join the HKSEC group in Younoodle
3. Click "Submit an entry" and you will be prompted to a page to select your current startup or to create a new startup. Follow the information and create a startup if you have not done so. There is more descriptive procedures below.
4. In the Competition-specific details, click to read the "Competition Terms" and "Submission Guidelines", then check the boxes accordingly. Otherwise you cannot enter the next page for "Competition entry"
Notes for creating your startup:
• Create your startup: Each individual can create a startup under his/her "My Profile" page. Team leader should take up the role to "Add a startup" and invite your team members to join your startup. Startup name, type, status, public one-liner and location are all required data. The field Website must be the URL of your visual promotion from VCASMO platform. You may not have this information now, but you can enter the URL later.
• Since each team can only submit one entry, it is better for the team leader to create the startup first, then inviting other team members to join. Members can click "I'm on this team" to join a particular startup. The team leader should approve their application to the team in the admin panel afterwards.

4. SUBMISSION PROCEDURES FOR VISUAL PROMOTION
Though it is not a compulsory requirement to prepare your visual promotion, it should help and supplement your Summary by presenting visually the need and how your business will create social value by addressing that need. If you think a video can help you delivering the social concept more effective than only a business summary, then you may create your video.
The HKSEC 2008 collaborates with VCASMO to provide a platform for teams to present their Visual Promotions. Teams may upload video, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, image, photo, music and/or Adobe Flash to their team account on the VCASMO platform, organizing them into a creative multimedia presentation. There is no prescribed format or theme to restrict your creativity. The only requirements are:
- the video/music file must be not more than 3 minutes, and
- the outline notes/slides must be not more than 10 slides.
The Visual Promotion can be a video clip, a powerpoint slide presentation, a powerpoint slide presentation with sound or a powerpoint slide presentation with video clip. If you submit a visual presentation, Judges will review it together with your written summary document.

Procedures for Visual Promotion
1. Each team should create one user account in order to prepare the visual promotion You may create your VCASMO account from here.
2. Upload your visual elements, such as PDF, PPT, JPG, etc. to your account.
3. Select the appropriate visual assets and merge them into a presentation.
4. After you finish the design, copy the URL of that presentation to your Younoodle startup page under the data field "Website" (screenshot) For more details of the startup page, please check the “Notes for creating your startup” above.
5. You must also input the URL of your Visual Promotion to the cover page of your Business Summary accordingly.
