ABOUT US

The Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge (HKSEC) is a business plan competition program that university students in Hong Kong find creative, commercially sustainable ways to address the social problems. HKSEC participants have a unique opportunity to increase their social awareness and develop their knowledge and understanding of how to create a business plan from inception to implementation with the advice and involvement of a wide base of knowledgeable contributors.

HKSEC furthers collaborative and interdisciplinary partnerships with the business community, non-governmental and non-profit organizations, the government, and all post-secondary and universities in Hong Kong.

There are THREE reasons why you need to participate in HKSEC

Knowledge beyond normal lectures
HKSEC provides practical training to:
-- turn your idea into a viable business model;
-- develop skills of business plan writing and presentation;
-- meet with the business and community stakeholders

Free business plan software
Palo Alto Software, Inc is sponsoring the HKSEC with a FREE download of Business Plan Pro Academic Premier Edition software for each participant. The software provides an SBA-approved format for you to write and manage your plan, allowing you to turn your focus from the mechanics behind the plan to other important aspects involved in the competition.

Execution through internship
You may become one of the two winning teams entitled an Internship Award up to HK$24,000 that will enable you and your team members to implement the first phase of your business plan for the social enterprise.
